Job description:
Supervise, coordinate and control the preventive, corrective and predictive maintenance activities of Drilling equipment Epiroc PV271E/D, PV351, D65MK, Caterpillar MD6640. Ensure safe execution of all tasks performed by providing direction and guidance to execution teams and contractors.
ensuring the availability, reliability and operational safety of the equipment, complying with the quality, safety, environmental and cost standards established by the company.
- Minimum 7 years’ experience in the maintenance of Epiroc Drill PV271 D/E, PV351 and caterpillar MD6640 in the workshop and in the field.
- Mechanical/Electrical Engineering degree or grade relevant trade certificate (HD Diesel Fitter / Industrial Mechanic/ Electro-Mechanic)
- 2 years’ experience of leading a teamwork.
- Experience in the diagnostic and repair of any of the following equipment highly regarded: Epiroc ; CAT and other heavy duty mining equipment.
- Experienced in RCA/AFA investigation (desirable)
- Experience with CMMS maintenance software (JD Edward, SAP, Elipse).
- Certification or training in products of drills such as Epiroc or Caterpillar (Desirable).
- Knowledge in the use of Excel, Word, PowerPoint (Desirable).
- Knowledge in the use of technical manuals.
- Knowledge and experience in reading hydraulic and electrical plans.
- Knowledge in the use of predictive techniques (chemical powders, magnetic particles, ultrasound) (Desirable).
- Knowledge and experience in handling loads, lifting components.
- Knowledge of technical English at an intermediate level.
- Strong understanding and capability in relation to positive safety culture, practical application of risk assessment, hazard identification/controls, and incident management/reporting.
- Manage the necessary supplies and tools for the area.
- Verify compliance with the area's KPIs and generate actions if necessary.
- Be a leader in safety giving priority to the control of risks prior to developing any productive activity.
- Supervise and execute the work programmed on the Loading Equipment. Ensuring the use of the programmed resources in the established time, reporting the deviations found.
- Validate and manage unforeseen events in the loading fleet, recording all critical information in the JD EDWARS management system.
- Participate in the formulation of weekly maintenance plans.
- Supervise the diagnosis, repair and replacement of electrical, mechanical and hydraulic components, ensuring high quality standards.
- Verify and manage the correct execution of safe work procedures (SOP), specific work permits and risk analysis. (AST)
- Promote safety culture to work teams. Complying with the necessary requirements such as inspections, audits and incident reporting.
- Promote continuous process improvement and the application of methodologies such as RCM, RCA and 5S.
- Conduct technical training and provide advice to local maintenance personnel.
- Review and validate backlogs generated by technical staff from inspections.
- Ensure closure of work orders in the maintenance management system (JD Edwars, Pronto, ZM).
- Prepare technical reports of repetitive failures and critical events.
- Ensure compliance with maintenance KPIs: MTBF, MTTR, availability, plan compliance, among others
- Coordinate with the Reliability area the condition of equipment using predictive tools (oil analysis, vibrations, thermography, etc.).
- Coordinate with the production area the execution of maintenance work in the field.
- Coordinate with the support areas of the company, Planning and Warehouse to ensure the availability of resources, spare parts and services.
- Coordinate with the OEMs the execution of work related to warranties, service letters, product improvements.
- Coordinate with the training area the training of the technical staff in charge, including technical, safety and regulatory courses or certifications.
